Learning Center in Village Licuma, Ormoc City, Island of Leyte, Philippines

One of the most challenging parts working in the rural Phillipines is to find land availability, as most land is private owned. In village Licuma we got an opportunity to construct a Learning Center, as there is a huge need as well as land available. We are right now seeking funding partners for this project.

Total cost for construction including all materials and labour is 20.000 GBP. The aim is to start construction of a learning center in this village within the spring 2019.

The learning center can be understood as a “drop-in” after-school facility and a safe environment that motivates the youth in the age of 4-17 to study, play and form an inspired relationship to self directed learning.
